The cold weather continued on Boxing Day so the England shirts were out and the winter woolies were in. We went to the MCG on Boxing Day to see England's cricketers play a supporting role in the Shane Warne show. The highlight of Day 1 was Warney taking his 700th test wicket on his home ground. He also bagged a five wicket haul and received many standing ovations. We were both freezing cold on Boxing Day and England's poor performance didn't help.

Two days later we went again to see England defeated for the fourth consecutive test of the series. At least it was slightly warmer and the Barmy Army were in full voice.

Shane Warne is carried aloft. Can you guess how many team mates were needed to hoist him there ?
