It started off well with a lovely view and weather to match. After a day it started raining and never stopped for about a week. As we were staying just outside Port Macquarie we never actually got to see the resort in the sun. It was very damp and cold and felt like camping in England. Add to that we also broke down and had to be towed to a garage. The problem was that a hose had come loose on our new oil cooler and it took 24 hours to fix due to a combination of it being a Sunday and the slow service from the garage.
We also visited the Koala Hospital who do an excellent job in caring for injured Koalas. Jayne couldn't resist them and wanted to help so she sponsored a Koala called Bonnie Willie for Lucy her neice. http://www.koalahospital.org.au/

We visited Timbertown which was a mock village of how things used to be.

Jayne, with a beautiful pair of Bullocks.
We eventually left the Port Macquarie area and the sun came out.
