Albany 7/3 to 8/3
We drove about 300km to Albany on the south coast. Albany was the first British settlement in Western Australia in 1826. This rock formation is in the centre of the town. Its called Dog Rock.

Albany is positioned in a picturesque bay looking onto small islands and white sandy beaches. Whales can seen in the winter and spring over here, but as we are now in Autumn we didn't see any.

A short drive to Frenchman's Bay gives you access to some lovely beaches.

It was warm and sunny to start with on our scenic drive. However within a few minutes the clouds covered the peninsula.

We visited some rock formations. This is the Gap which once was the gateway to Antarctica.
