Broome to Fitzroy Crossing 5/4-6/4

We journeyed from Broome for an overnight stop at Derby and then another overnight stop at Fitzroy Crossing. Along the way we spotted one of the natives about to feast on another.

We went to see the Boab Prison Tree in Derby.

And we nearly crossed the original Fitzroy Crossing only it was a little flooded. Fortunately there was another bridge across the river that was newer and higher so we got there in the end.

It was Easter weekend but instead of the traditional chocolate Easter Bunny we may have at home we had the Australian alternatives, a chocolate Bilby and a Wombat.
