Fitzroy Crossing to Kununurra 7/4
We started our travels early in the morning, planning to stop at a roadhouse overnight on our way to Kununurra. However the driving was going well and there was lots of scenery on this particular stretch of road to keep us alert and interested, so we kept going. We were excited to see our first wild Dingo.

And there were of course more cattle wandering in the road.

We also found ourselves having to negotiate a number of overflowing floodways.

There was also a flock of Little Corrella's (Cockatoos) that were swooping around and across the road.

The landscape changed continuously and was quite lush as the wet season has just ended.

The cliffs were very red and looked fantastic as the sun began to set.

As the darkness fell we were worried about the native wildlife running into the road in front of us as this is their favourite time of day to come out and play.

But just after dusk we had completed our 670 Km drive which had taken us 9.5 Hours due to driving into a headwind. We were happy to have arrived safely and without injuring any of the locals.
