Port Douglas 7/5 to 13/5

We had an extra long stay in Port Douglas because the car was in the garage for a couple of days whilst Ultra Tune were rectifying their earlier work. The weather was a bit mixed during our stay with lots of rain in this drought affected state. Why don't they build a pipeline south to Brisbane from here ? This is the marina where the boats go to the Great Barrier Reef. Having covered the reef on our previous visits to the area we didn't go this time mainly due to the excessive cost charged by the operators.



Port Douglas is quite a modern resort with everything from backpackers' to 5 star accommodation. It retains some history.

We finally got a sunny day so we went to the beach. We've been here in the wet season before and its been dry and sunny. We are here in the dry season now and its rained "heaps". Can you figure it out ?
