Kununurra 7/4 - 10/4

We spent 4 days in Kununurra the main town in the East Kimberley. This is a view of the town from Kelly's Knob lookout.

These are termites up close. They are starting on one of their mounds.

The new camera was certainly impressive for close up shots !

We went on a sunset BBQ boat cruise on Lake Kununurra. We were well fed and typically Jayne washed it down with some good wine.

This is the sleeping buddha. From the other side it looks like an elephant. One rock two names.

We ventured down some side lagoons where there was lots of plant and bird life.

As the sun set the colours became more vivid and there were lots of photo opportunities.

This is only about 6pm, the sun sets early in Kununurra.

After the sun had set we could with the aid of a hand held search light see the eyes of the local crocodiles. Unfortunately the esturine variety are more timid than their salty cousins and are a bit photo shy.
