Tower Hill 13/1

We visited Tower Hill, a state game reserve based around the remains of an extinct volcano. There is plenty of wildlife to see if you look closely. The Kangaroos must have been hiding today, but we saw plenty of Koalas in the trees including one who startled Jayne by jumping into a tree.

We were free to wander around the reserve and came across a few Emus. Thankfully for Jayne we found no snakes but there were warning signs on the wetlands walk, so we skipped that bit.

We saw an Echidna up close who was looking for his lunch by poking his nose in the ground.

If you want to see native wildlife up close and in the wild in Australia then Tower Hill is the place. Its between Warrnambool and Port Fairy.
