Jumping Crocodiles 15/4
We took a 64km drive out from Darwin to the Adelaide River to go on a crocodile cruise. David had to wrestle with this 'monster' in order to get aboard the boat.

We started our boat journey and there was not much to see in the murky waters. Suddenly something came swimming over to us.

From the double decker boat a man dangled a rod with a pork chop on the end. The crocs then jumped for the bait. We saw about 7-8 different crocs.

Waiting patiently... ready to move in for the kill.

From the glassed lower deck we could see the crocs up close and as personal as you would ever want to get.

We were warned not to go onto the rear lower deck of the boat when it was still as the crocs may think that we were a better substitute than a pork chop and snatch us. Seeing these magnificant animals you appreciate their immense power and realise you would not stand a chance if they attacked you.

We also saw lots of birdlife like this White Bellied Sea Eagle. This is the second largest bird of flight in Australia after the Wedge Tailed Eagle, which we put on the site when we visited Coober Pedy.

On the way back we stopped at a town called Humpty Doo where this large boxing croc stands guard. The Humpty Doo croc is another one of Australia's 'Big Things'.
